Purpose and Google access

This owner-operated application preserves and verifies encrypted backups for 墨栖 and 青页. It requests only Google’s file-specific drive.file permission. It reads the authorized account’s email address to verify the intended owner and its shared Drive/Gmail/Photos storage totals to avoid exceeding available capacity. Storage totals are not access to Gmail messages or Photos content.

The application creates, lists, reads and manages its own backup files and their metadata, including file identifiers, sizes, timestamps, hashes, brand and artifact type. The permission also permits files explicitly opened with the application; the current backup workflow does not offer a picker for unrelated files. Google access is used only for backup transfer, verification, retention and recovery.

Encryption, storage and providers

Service exports may contain author profiles, novel and chapter content, covers and operational records. Minimal deletion ledgers preserve the records needed to prevent deleted content from returning during recovery. The runner encrypts these artifacts before uploading them to Google Drive and keeps decryption keys outside Drive. File metadata is not encrypted. Temporary decrypted material is handled privately for integrity checks or owner-approved recovery.

Google processes the authorized account, file metadata and encrypted files under its own service policies. Convex supplies the novel-service export; Clerk provides the separate novel-site identities. The backup runner operates in an owner-controlled environment; OAuth credentials and decryption keys remain in private configuration and are not published on this information site. Cloudflare hosts this static site and may process request URLs, IP addresses and security or diagnostic information under its policies. Resend may process operator email addresses and operational failure notices when notification delivery is enabled. Providers may process data outside Malaysia.

Use and sharing

The backup application does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, surveillance or AI model training. Access by the operator or an explicitly authorized assistant is limited to operating, checking and recovering the service. It does not provide a public route to backup files or decryption keys. Any legally required disclosure remains subject to applicable law.

The application follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. This information site loads no advertising or analytics scripts and has no application tracking cookies; infrastructure providers may apply security measures.

Retention and revocation

The target is two weekly recovery snapshots per brand and ordinary backup expiry after 15 days. The last verified recovery copies may remain longer while replacements are unavailable. Initial manually copied files are not automatically expired before recurring retention is enabled. Deletion ledgers must remain available while retained backups could otherwise restore removed content.

The operator can revoke Google access through the Google Account connections page and remove private runner credentials. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not automatically delete files already in Drive. The operator controls removal of those files and local copies. Operational notices and logs should contain only necessary status information, not tokens, keys or manuscript text.
